Obituary

Willie Jean Wright Ezell Kemp, 89 of Camden, AR passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021.  She was born in Rye, Arkansas on April 15, 1932, to Otha and Birdie Stark Wright.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Otha and Birdie Wright; her grandparents, WJ and Jennie Wright, Mary and Harold Stark; her husband, Harold Wayne Ezell; a daughter, Pamela Kay Ezell; a grandson, Daniel Hunter Ezell; and a brother, Van Wright.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband, Garry C. Kemp; two sons, Darrell Ezell (Tonya), Gerald William Ezell (Donna); grandsons, Chris (Amy), Bryan (Melinda) and Cody (Shelby); granddaughter, Kamryn Kay Ezell; great grandchildren, Aaron, Aubree, Alex, Nycole, Cameron, Jacob, Emery and Wyatt; stepchildren, Karen Gowdy (Fred), Kris Flores, Diedre Pierce (Darrin) and Scott Kemp (Lynne); step grandchildren, Brieanna, Clay, Kristen, Mitchell, Matthew, Alexandria, Allison and Timothy; and a brother, Leo Wright.

She was a charter member of Calvary Baptist Church. She loved her many friends, Church Family and her pastor, Brother Don Phillips. She was known to be a wonderful cook. Her cakes would bring top dollar for the church auction every year. She worked 25 years as a Dental Assistant for Dr. James McDonald and 4 years for Dr. R. G. Siefert. She was a volunteer at Ruby Snider Ministry. She was always there to support her sons or grandchildren in any sport they participated in. She was a big Arkansas Razorback fan and was always up for a friendly card game.

The family would like to thank OCMC Hospice Team, Dr. Larry Braden, and the 300 wing nursing staff at OCMC for the wonderful care they extended to our mother.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests making a donation to Calvary Baptist Church or donation to your favorite charity.

Funeral will be 2:00PM Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church with Brother Don Phillips officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30PM to 2:00PM at the church before the service. Burial will be in New Holly Springs Cemetery.
