William (Bill) Edward Skidmore, of Hot Springs, AR, passed away December 20, 2023. He was born May 15, 1933, in Manchester, TX to Joe and Verda Mae Skidmore. He was a devoted husband and father who deeply loved his family, life, and friends. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 30 plus years of service and spent the majority of his remaining years tending to his cattle, which he really enjoyed.

He is preceded by his parents; wife, Betty Skidmore; sister, Betty Stringfellow; grandson, Gage Skidmore.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Skidmore and Bill Skidmore and wife, Michelle; daughter, Debra Littleton; two grandsons, Joshua Skidmore and Tanner Skidmore and wife, Peyton; three granddaughters, Lauren Barrington and husband, AR, Allison Pope and Logan Phillips and husband, Jay; six great-grandchildren, Davin Skidmore and wife, Anna Blair, Kasen Rhett Skidmore, Ben Barrington, Tripp Barrington, Charolette Pope and Kayden McClay Parker; one great-great-grandchild, Taylen Kross Howe.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00PM Friday, December 29, 2023, at Proctor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 11:00AM Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel. A burial will follow in Lakeside Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
