Chief William Philip "Phil" Seaton, Jr. 77, of Camden, Arkansas passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 14th, 2024 at Silver Oaks Health and Rehab. He was born on December 25th, 1946 in Camden, AR to William "Bill" Philip Seaton, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Daniel Seaton. He graduated from Fairview High School and attended Southern State University. He served our country with pride in the USNR and was a Vietnam Veteran. He was a devout member of the Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Camden. In 2009, Phil was inducted into the Arkansas Firefighters Association Hall of Fame. Chief Seaton retired in 2010 from the Camden Fire Department with thirty-seven years of service, seventeen of those as Fire Chief. Chief's profession and passion was for him and his department to serve others. He also worked seventeen years at Kroger Grocery before and during his fire department days. Proctor Funeral Home was another place he considered home as he worked part-time for numerous years helping others with the grieving process. Phil was also a volunteer Ouachita County Sheriff Reserve. He was a member of the Ouachita County Firefighters  association; member of the Arkansas State Firefighters Association; member and past President of the Arkansas Fire Chiefs Association; member of the International Association of Fire Chiefs; and member and past President of the Southwestern Division of the IAFC, serving Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. Phil was a well-known member of the community by giving back more than he ever received. He spent his whole life helping others and trying to make Camden and Ouachita County a better place. This was his home. He is remembered as an energetic and loyal friend who celebrated life to the fullest, treating everyone he met like family. He was the most wonderful and best daddy to his two girls. He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, and his biggest fans, his twin sisters Becky and Debby Seaton. He is survived by his loving wife and partner, Glenda May Hammons Seaton; sister Sue (John) Crouch of Bethel Island, CA; daughters Sara (Paul) Howard of Cabot, AR and Amy  Elizabeth (Seth) Vinson of El Dorado, AR; stepsons Rick (Sue) Hammons of Downsville, LA and David (Sandy) Hammons of D'Arbonne, LA; grandchildren Seaton Elizabeth (Cody) Bonar of Peoria, AZ, Jackson Philip Leach of Smackover, AR, Gavin Thomas Leech of El Dorado, AR, Ryleigh Ashtyn Howard and Preston Jay Howard both of Cabot, AR, Landon Vinson of El Dorado, AR, Kannon (Cameron) Leach of Springdale, AR, Katy (Blu) Quarles of Bearden, AR, Molly Gaston, Matt (Katie) Gaston, Lilah Grace Hammons, and Joey Hammons; and a great granddaughter Scotland "Scottie" Blair Bonar; and countless friends whom he considered family who mourn his passing. He is now reunited with his loving family and Lord and Savior.

Family and friends will gather to celebrate Phil's life Sunday, February 18th. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm with the memorial service following at 3:00 p.m. at Fellowship Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 2855 Ouachita Rd 3, Camden, AR. Arrangements are being made by Proctor Funeral Home, Camden, AR.
