In Loving Memory of William E. Langford, III

William was born on July 22nd, 1954, in Richmond, Virginia to William Earnest Langford, Jr. and Virginia Langford. He peacefully departed from this world on April 1st, 2024, at his home in El Dorado.

William was a member of Hillsboro Street Church of Christ in El Dorado, AR. He set an example for his children to attend church and come to know Jesus. Prayer and a relationship with Jesus were very important to him. He married his loving and devoted wife Sindy on July 18, 1996.

Throughout his life, William was a loving and devoted father, husband, and friend. He was a pillar of strength and a constant source of support for his family, always putting their needs above his own. His unwavering love and dedication will forever be cherished.

As a father, William was a guiding light, offering wisdom, encouragement, and unconditional love to his children. His presence brought joy, laughter, and a deep sense of security to his family.

William was a hardworking and dedicated individual who always strived to provide the best for his loved ones. He displayed integrity and perseverance in all aspects of his life. Whether it was in his professional pursuits or personal endeavors, he approached everything with a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to make a positive impact.

William graduated from Watson Chapel High School. He attended the University of Arkansas where he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity. He completed his post-secondary education at Southern Arkansas University by taking night classes while working full-time to support his family. He was employed with Great Lakes Chemical Company for 28 years.

In his leisure time, William enjoyed running, water skiing, and golf. He completed the Shreveport Marathon twice. Once, after being hit by a car during the race. He was always seen at local festivals running 5ks while his children were young. This instilled in them the importance of goals and accomplishments. These activities provided him with a sense of joy and relaxation, allowing him to find solace amidst life's challenges. He found great pleasure in his hobbies and often shared his passion with those around him.

William leaves behind a profound legacy of love, sacrifice, and strength. His memory will forever inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him. Though he may be physically absent, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of his family and friends.

William is survived by his wife Sindia M. Langford, his children Chad Langford (Dollia) of Arkadelphia, AR, Scott Langford of Bonnerdale, AR, Alex Langford (Margaret) of Kansas City, MO, Rob Larson (Jess) of St. Louis, MO, Kassie Larson of El Dorado, AR and 8 grandchildren (McKenzie, Keaton, Avery, Anna, Molly, George, Georgia, and Baby Langford). His presence will be deeply missed, and his memory will forever remain a cherished treasure.

A funeral service to celebrate Willaim's life will be graveside at Memorial Park Cemetery on Saturday April 6, 2024, at 10am with James Nixon officiating. The family will have visitation Friday, April 5, 2024, from 5:00-7:00pm at Hillsboro Street Church of Christ in El Dorado, AR.

May William's soul find eternal peace, and may his legacy serve as a reminder of the importance of love, family, and cherishing every moment together.
