Wesley "Sonny" Houston Cartwright was born May 16, 1950, and was called home to be with the Lord, February 1, 2025.  He enjoyed life through his favorite hobbies like fishing, deer hunting, gardening and golf. He loved raising small tomato plants to hand out to his children every year, so they could have their own. He loved spending time with his wife Debbie and their three dogs, relaxing in his recliner, and watching the news every evening. He loved hanging out at the camp with his family watching the razorbacks play or riding through the deer woods with his boys in the side by side. No matter what he was doing, he lived his life to the fullest around his family.

Sonny was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley and Betty Cartwright and one grandchild, Kade Cartwright.  Survivors include his wife Debbie Avant Cartwright, One brother, Dennis (Rita) Cartwright and one sister Debbie (Rick) Billings, his children, Marica (Jeff) Forrest, Tammy (Frank) Webb, Sherry (Chris) Justus, Paul Cartwright, Todd (Brandy) Cartwright and Deanna Douglass, 16 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 4, 2025 from 6:00PM-8:00PM. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 2:00PM at Holly Springs Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
