Wendy Gayle Andrews McFarland, 58, entered Heaven on September 22, 2025 after a valiant battle with a lengthy illness.  She is now reunited forever with her beloved husband, Dr. Gale Allen McFarland.  They were both of the Presbyterian faith now walk together with Jesus.

Wendy was born December 2, 1966 as the second child of Jim F. Andrews, Sr. and Maxine Morgan Andrews.  She grew up in Smackover, Arkansas where she was always on the go, active in many church and school activities.  After high school, Wendy followed her calling, and the footsteps of several family members, by becoming a nurse and helping others heal.  She worked and excelled in a variety of nursing positions, but will always be remembered for her medical service alongside her husband at the McFarland Clinic in Camden, Arkansas.  One of Wendy's proudest achievements was becoming one of a few certified urological nurses in the state of Arkansas and for professional recognition by the Arkansas Urological Association.

When she wasn't working, Wendy enjoyed spending time in a variety of activities with her friends and family, who will always remember her as vivacious.  She was fun loving, full of life, and known for making others smile and laugh.  She will be greatly missed and her family wishes to thank her friends who were always there for her, especially DeJuan Johnson.

Wendy was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years, Dr. Gale Allen McFarland, and by her father, Jim F. Andrews, Sr., as well as by two stepsons, Stephen McFarland and Justin McFarland, a niece, Avery Seals, and a nephew, Harrison Seals.  Her survivors include her mother, Maxine Morgan Andrews, her brother Jim F. Andrews, Jr. (Amanda), and her sister, Amanda Andrews, all of El Dorado, Arkansas.

Wendy's surviving stepsons are Travis McFarland, Wesley McFarland, and Jack McFarland, all of Florida.  Wendy is also survived by nephews James Andrews, Max Seals, and Fisher Hill, and by nieces Sierra Hill, Lauren Andrews, and Emma Seals as well as by a number of other extended family members in Arkansas and Texas.

A celebration of Wendy's life will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2025 at the First Presbyterian Church located at 313 Greening Street, N.W. in Camden, Arkansas.  Visitation will begin at noon followed by a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. David Stipp-Bethune officiating.  Thereafter, a brief interment service will be conducted at the McFarland Cemetery on highway 275 in Banks, Arkansas.  Pallbearers will be Gary Andrews, Matt Andrews, Bryan Wilson, Roger Wilson, Derreck Webb, and DeJuan Johnson.  Friends and family are invited to attend.
