Virginia Parker, 90, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, passed away on February 7, 2025. She was born on October 29, 1934, in Linden, Texas, to Mable and Jesse Buckland. Virginia was a proud graduate of Linden High School and went on to earn her degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas. She dedicated her career to education, retiring as an elementary school principal in Texas. A woman of strong faith, Virginia was an active member of First Baptist Church in Hot Springs, Arkansas, before joining Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro.

She was preceded in death by her son, Joe Neel Jr.; her parents, Mable and Jesse Buckland; and her brother, Danny Buckland.

Virginia is survived by her loving husband, Jerry Owen Parker, along with extended family and friends who will cherish her memory.

Graveside service will be 1:00PM Monday, February 10, 2025, at Bethesda Cemetery.
