Victor Robert Matkin, born March 5, 1939 to Robert and Nonie Matkin of Warren, AR.

Victor served in the United States Army for 22 years. He served two tours in Vietnam and numerous other duty stations worldwide.

Victor Matkin is survived by his wife, Yvonne Matkin; daughters, Patricia Matkin Boyd, Lori Matkin Kepley, and Rhonda "Bubba" Neal; his sons, James Turner, Johnny Davis, Jimmy Joe Davis and Teryl Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Stanley Matkin; and his beloved daughter Donna.

After Vic retired from the Army, he became a Postal Rural Route Carrier. Upon which he retired from after another 22 years of service.

Vic had three wishes in life and they were to join the Army, be a Postal Carrier, and to get married to his high school sweetheart. On August 6, 2005, he completed his list by marrying Yvonne Davis to begin a new chapter in their lives

Victor Matkin passed away peacefully in his sleep in the comfort of his home on June 20, 2022. May his soul live in the house of the Lord forever.

A funeral service will be held at Proctor Funeral Home chapel on June 22, 2022 at 10:00AM. With a visitation on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
