Versie L. Parker began her journey of life on March 9, 1923 in Calhoun County, AR as the daughter of  John Henry and Rosie Lee Curtis Parker.  She attended school at Lafayette High School as a student.  She became the proud parent of one child, a son, who precedes her in death.  She worked as an employee for 15 years at East Camden Guest House and Humphreys Barbecue for 30 years.  Her hobbies were fishing and cooking and taking care of grandchildren and nephews. In her (101) season of Versie she received her blessing of immortality on Sunday, April 18, 2024.

She leaves to celebrate and honor her life's journey, her four grandchildren, Johnette, John Jr., Versie and Anteraun; three step grands, Rudie, Christine and Car Jr.; 13 great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, adopted niece, Mattie Finks; a special caregiver and niece, Kim Hanson, caregiver, Veronica Curry and a close neighbor who helped out when needed, Annie Ruth Anderson.

A funeral service will be held at Proctor Funeral Home at 11:00am on Saturday, May 4, 2024. A visitation will take place from 10:00AM-11:00AM before the service. Interment will be at Eternal Rest Cemetery.
