Brother Vergia Lee Lewis, Jr. was born on October 17,1965, to Bro. Vergia and Sis. Mildred Lewis, in Shreveport Louisiana.
He was named Vergia Lewis, Jr. but to many he was known as LUCKY. LUCKY was the kind of man that would lend a helping hand to anyone that was in need of his help. He attended the Camden School District in Camden AR. He later went on to receive his electrician license from St. Marcus, TX Job Crop. He worked as a C. N. A. alone with his mom. His last place of employment was at Highland Industries in East Camden, AR.
He was a faithful member of the Temple C.O.G.I.C. where he served as the Sunday School Secretary and helped out wherever he could in the church until his health started to fail him.
LUCKY was preceded in death by his parents; father, Vergia Lewis, Sr.; mom, Mildred Hill; stepfather, Robert David Hill, Sr.; grandparents, Milton & Maeola Tatum; and his nephew, Ricky (Sugar Boy) Lewis.
LUCKY leaves to cherish his memories sisters, Melivinna (Trent) Penny and Dinnia Lewis Madison of Camden AR; brothers, Dewight Wayne Lewis of Camden AR and Kenneth Ray (Olivia) Lewis, Sr. of Taylor, TX. He leaves a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A memorial service will be 11:30AM Saturday, January 17, 2026 at Temple C.O.G.I.C., 310 Pearl Street, Camden, AR 71701.
