Obituary

Travis Jackson, 90, died August 15, 2022. He was born August 13, 1932 in Rosston, AR to Olan and Eva Jackson. Travis was a member of Timothy United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, was a member of the Arkansas Cattlemen's Association, served on the Farm Bureau Board, Ouachita County Fair Board and was chosen as Farm Family of the Year. He worked for Arkansas Power and Light for several years as a lineman.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Jackson, his wife, Bernice Presley; his stepmother, Sally Jackson; a brother, Edward Lee Jackson and a sister, Geraldine Garner. He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Jackson of Camden, AR; three sons, David Jackson (Lynn) of Cartersville, GA, Jeff Jackson (Lyn) of Searcy, AR, and Tony Jackson (Amy) of Vicksburg, MS; two stepsons, Donnie Barkhimer of Lake Village, AR and Mark Barkhimer (Rebecca) of North Little Rock, AR; and a sister, Betty Lou Hendrix.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 Friday, August 19, 2022.  Services will be 11:00 Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Timothy United Methodist Church in Camden with Benny Morgan and Jeff Jackson officiating.  In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Timothy United Methodist Church.
