Thomas Franklin Jeffus, 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, February 4, 2024. He was raised at Fellowship Presbyterian where he received his salvation at a young age. He then faithfully attended Elliott Baptist Church. Tom was born February 15, 1942 in Camden, Arkansas to Will T and Verda Jeffus.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jackie Jeffus, son Brady Jeffus (Melissa), daughter Betsy, his five "little buddies" granddaughters Rebecca Jeffus, Madison Jeffus, Mallory Jeffus, Emma Tuberville, Aubree Tuberville, grandson Jacob Rich and sister Marilyn (Larry) Pate.Tom graduated from Fairview High School in 1960. After graduation he worked at International Paper in Camden for over forty years. When not working on paper machines, he could be found on his family farm working cattle or in his garden. He was a hard working man, but his favorite place in this world was DeGray Lake where he taught his kids, grandkids, and anyone else in the boat to fish and water ski.

The family would like to thank our special caregivers for the last few years those who loved Tom as their own, Jackie Ross, Lula Carter, Andora Norman and Stephanie Howard. We also appreciate the loving care of Dr. Lewis, Dr. Braden, the entire staff at OCMC Hospice and OCMC ICU.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Elliott Baptist Church.

Visitation will be at Bethesda Church at 1 pm on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 with graveside service following at 2 pm at Bethesda Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
