Sue Ann Hunter was born May 30, 1948, in Homer, Louisiana. She was one of the three children born to Oreather Hunter and Lizzie Mae Green. She departed this life on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at Ouachita County Medical Center in Camden, Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lizzie Mae Green, her father Oreather Hunter, and bonus mother Barbara Hunter. Two sisters: Ruthie Mae Langford and Catherine Champ. Two brothers: John Green and John Harper.
Sue accepted Christ at an early age and joined New Haven Missionary Baptist Church. Sue worked at General Dynamics as a Janitor and at Con Agra Poultry Plant as an Assembly Worker. She loved her coffee, listening to music, fishing, and going to church.
Left to cherish her memory are three sons: David Hunter (Anna) of Hephzibah, Georgia; Racata Hunter of Jonesboro, Georgia; Michael Hunter of Las Vegas, Nevada. Two daughters: Monique Hunter and Karmesha Gaston (Jerry Jr.) both of Camden, Arkansas. A bonus son: Karama Baker of Jonesboro, Georgia. Four sisters: Sherry Moten (Ray) of Beaumont, TX; Flora Johnson (Rickey) of Conyers, Georgia; Laverna Jackson and Cassandara Gail Moore (Ray) both of Camden, Arkansas. Nine brothers: Donald Green (late Cherylon) of Bossier City, Louisiana; Robert Green of Homer, Louisiana; Matthew Green (LaTricia) of Gibsland, Louisiana; Rev. Billy Hunter (Mercedes); Donald Ray Holmes both of Camden Arkansas, Cedric Holmes (Michelle) of Atlanta, Georgia and Willie James Bates of Camden, Arkansas. As well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM, April 18, 2026, at New Haven Baptist Church in Camden, AR. There will be a visitation from 5:00PM- 7:00PM on Friday, April 17, 2026. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
