Robert Sherman, 83 passed away on November 23, 2024. He was born on January 6, 1941 in Coraopolis, PA to William Roice Sherman and Virginia Marie Gregory.

Robert was a Veteran of the U.S. Navy. During his time in the Navy he learned a trade in welding.  Robert loved to fish at White Oak Lake. He always felt that the White Oak Lake area needed a church. He was one of the founding members of White Oak Lake Baptist Church.  He was a deacon and an elder. Robert was part of a very loving family. His greatest joy was spending time with them.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, William Royce Sherman, Jr., Lloyd Rex Sherman, Gary Richard Sherman, and Warren Regis Sherman.

Robert is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Joy Coston Sherman; two daughters, Jamie Norris of Chidester, AR and Phyllis Havard of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Stephen William Havard and wife, Brandi of Hot Springs Village, AR and Jennifer Havard Ingoldby and husband, Andrew of Little Elm, TX; great-grandchildren, U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Tyler Mason Havard and wife, Ciara of Tarawa Terrace, NC and Logan Brooks Havard of Hot Springs Village, AR; great-great-grandchild coming in January 2025, John Mason Havard; siblings, Kevin Ross Sherman of Magnolia, AR and Paul Reed Sherman of Anchorage, AK; sister-in-law, Janette Sherman of Magnolia, AR; nieces and nephews, Judi Sherman Franks of Magnolia, AR, Donna Sherman Mallett of Greenbrier, AR, William Royce Sherman, III of Emerson, AR, Rita Renee Sherman Willis of Belton, TX, Kenneth Lloyd Sherman of Carrollton, TX, William Lewis Sherman of Poway, CA, Virginia Marie Sherman of Waco, TX, and Trinity Sherman of Anchorage, AK.

Services will be at 1:30PM, Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at White Oak Lake Baptist Church with Bro. Chris Morgan officiating, and with the burial at Holleman Cemetery.
