Shirley Belle Williams was born on September 10, 1937 in Rolla, Arkansas to Lucy Thomas Sandage and Riley Sandage. Shirley departed this life November 3, 2023 at the age of 86, at Timberlane Health and Rehabilitation, El Dorado Arkansas. She graduated from Fairview High School in Camden, Arkansas in 1955. Dennis was the Team Captain of the 1955 Football Team and Shirley was Homecoming Queen. Shirley moved to Dallas, Texas in 1957 with Dennis, her high school sweetheart and husband of 57 years. It was here that Shirley developed her passion of collecting and selling antiques, particularly furniture. Shirley and Dennis worked numerous estate sales helping families to price, market and sell their large collections.
Shirley enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved the world of antiques and looked forward to shopping estate sales with Dennis. She looked forward to holiday trips to Camden to visit her parents, sisters and extended family and friends in Arkansas. Shirley and Dennis enjoyed traveling and took numerous cruises to include Hawaii, and Alaska. A self-prescribed "Trekkie", Shirley enjoyed watching Star Trek reruns of the original series with her son Mitch.
Shirley is survived by one son, Dennis Mitchell (Mitch) Williams of Camden. She is also survived by many loved and loving nieces, nephews, four sisters-in-law, one brother-in-law and cousins.
Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Dennis Conrad Williams. Also, her parents Lucy and Riley Sandage, an infant daughter, 2 sisters, Bernice Price of Lometa, Texas, and Barbara Germann of Camden, Arkansas.
Visitation will be at Proctor Funeral home in Camden Arkansas between 1:00 – 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 with services following immediately at 2:00 pm in the chapel. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden following services.
