Obituary

Scott Alan Vaughan, 61, passed away on August 29, 2025. He was born on October 5, 1963, in Camden, AR to Robert and Mary Ann Stringfellow Vaughan. He was a Baptist and loved Jesus. He worked for Vaughan Construction for many years. He was an avid Pittsburg Steelers and Arkansas Razorback fan. Scott liked to fish and hunt. His greatest joy and love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents, J.T. Vaughan, Betty Flow and her husband, Louie, and R.B. Stringfellow and his wife, Frances; his aunt, Donna Bryant; and two uncles, R.J. Bryant and Randy Vaughan.

Scott was survived by his wife, Jennifer Vaughan of Camden, AR; two sons, Marcus Stevens of Camden, AR and David Stevens and his wife, Vanessa of Camden, AR; grandchildren, Justin Thibault, Mike Thibault, Kyle Stevens, Paxton Stevens, and Addison Stevens; his sister, Kim Holmes and her husband, Randy of Camden, AR; two uncles, Tommy Vaughan and his wife, Teresa of Camden, AR and Gary Vaughan and his wife, Laura of Hot Springs, AR; two aunts, Karen Covey of Hot Springs, AR and Rita Vaughan of Camden, AR; nephews, Randy Holmes and Chad Holmes and his wife, Casey; great-nephew, Preston Holmes; great-nieces, Lillian Holmes and Eloise Holmes; numerous cousins, his dog, Dixie; and a host of family and friends.

A graveside service will take place at 11:00AM on September 2, 2025, at Mt. Horeb Cemetery. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers please make donations to Proctor Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
