Sarah Bernice Knight

Sarah Bernice Knight, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on September 11, 2026, at the age of 84 in Camden, Arkansas. Sarah Bernice was born to James Obie and Annabelle Ever Burton on February 27, 1942.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Walker (J.W.) Knight, Jr.; daughter, Reesa Ann Knight; and brother, Bobby R. Burton.

She is survived by her son, James Walker (Jay) Knight III, her son-in-law, Robert Steelman; her six grandchildren, Keith Dewayne (Annie) Knight, Brittan Ashlea (Rian) Tuberville, Jessica (Mark) Roth, Jason (Britney) Knight, James Obie (Kaylee) Knight, and Sarah Louise (Zachary) Bartholomew; 14 great-grandchildren; and her three brothers and two sisters, Dale Burton, JB (Becky) Burton, Kenith (Helen) Burton, Freda (Marshal) Estridge, and Tina (Joppie) Bussell.

Sarah Bernice cherished her family and found great joy in spending time with them whenever she had the chance. She was known for her beautiful blue eyes, warm smile, sense of humor, and spunky personality. She had a way of making people laugh and feel loved.

Sarah Bernice leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, family, laughter, and cherished memories. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Services will be held Wednesday, September 16th at 2 pm at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel with viewing from 1pm to 2pm. Burial will be at Sulphur Springs Cemetery, following.
