Russell Joe Johnson (Rusty) passed away peacefully on November, 26th at his home, surrounded by loved ones.

Rusty was born September 14, 1965 in Camden, Arkansas. He was a 1983 graduate of Camden high school. After high school he started working at the ford dealership and worked there for over 40 years until his retirement last year. During his working days, he made many friends who became more like family. If he wasn't working, he was most likely fishing at lake Ouachita or hunting with his friends at "it can be done" deer camp. Russell's greatest joy was spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren, which he loved very much.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Irene Johnson and Truman and Mavis Kemp and in-laws Bob and Dodsie Bethea

He is survived by his parents, Freddie Joe and Ann Johnson; wife, Susan Johnson; sister, Darla Kyseth (Kelly); daughter, Beth Brevell (Jake); son, Blake Johnson (Meredith); daughter, Sara Lawson (Josh); brother-in-law, Robert Bethea (Candice); grandkids, Adaline and Rustin Brevell, Eleanor and Benjamin Johnson and Ivy Jo Lawson; nieces, Haley Holeman, Kalli Loyd, Ashley Nelson, Allison Moore and Alana Bethea; and a host of great nieces, great nephews, and other family and friends.

A funeral service will be held 2 PM, Friday, November 29, 2024 at Calvary Baptist Church, where he was a member. The family will receive friends from 1-2PM before the service.
