Ruby Jean Green peacefully departed from this world on May 15, 2023, at her home. She was a pillar of strength, grace, and unconditional love, and her departure leaves an irreplaceable void in our lives. Ruby was 80 years old.

She was born on January 13, 1943, to her parents Jessie Cross and Aggie Mae Henderson. Ruby was a loving sibling to her four brothers LT Henry, Robert Newton, Clyde Lewis and Larry McNeil; as well as two sisters Kathy McNeil and Debra McNeil

On December 1, 1960 she married the love of her life Horace Green, Jr. They went on to have 5 children; Horace Ray, Richard Earl, Regina, Marlean, and Jerry.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie Cross and Aggie Mae Henderson, her husband Horace Green Jr., and her daughter Regina Green.

She leaves to mourn four children Horace Ray Green (Vanessa) Richard Earl Green (Sherry), Marlean Childs (Frederick), and Jerry; nine grandchildren Ketrina Green, Shanica Flannigan, Jeremey Green, Richara Green, Shamoya Green, Quintin Green (Mercedes), Richard Green Jr (Carolina), Tristan Childs , and Tyvonshae Green; 12 great grandchildren and a host of friends and family.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 19, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden.  Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 20 ^th , 2023, at Mt. Hebron Church followed by interment in Patton Cemetery.
