Rosalind Cook was born on August 20, 1956 to the late Richard and Ruth Howard in Camden, Ar. She departed this life peacefully on April 7, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR surrounded by family.  Rosalind accepted Christ at an early age at St. Paul AME Church. She later became a member of the church of Christ for over 40 years. She graduated from Harmony Grove High School in 1974. Rosalind, known as Rosie to most family members and Rose to friends, loved to sew; however, more than anything she loved people. She always had a smile and never met a stranger.

She began her career as a paraprofessional at Harmony Grove School. After being employed by General Dynamics for many years, she enjoyed working with the public in retail (Deals Deals, Dan Cook's, and JC Penney). She enjoyed helping people find the best quality jewelry at JCPenney. After retirement, she spent the majority of her time taking care of her husband and adoring her grandsons.

In 1974, she married Milton Cook III and to this union a daughter was born. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brother, Richard Howard Jr.  She is survived by her daughter, Kristi Cook (LaBaron Hawkins) of Camden; two grandsons, Jayden and Jaxson Hawkins of Camden; two sisters, Dianne (Billy) Scott of Camden and Lyndia (Robert) Ferguson of Shreveport, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The family would like to extend a thank you to Baptist Health Medical Center, Baptist Health Hospice, Dr. David Mosley, Dr. Shaletha Jones, Dr. Will Daniel, Ouachita County Medical Center, Ouachita County Ambulance Service, Silver Oaks Health and Rehab, and St. Vincent for excellent medical care throughout the years.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 Friday, April 14, 2023.  Services will be 11:00 Saturday at Proctor Funeral Home.
