Ronald Ben Stringfellow, 80, of Camden, passed away on May 20, 2026, at his home. He was born September 10, 1945, in El Dorado, AR. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Camden. After graduating high school in 1963, he joined the Army. Upon his discharge, he attended college at Henderson State University. After graduation, he moved to Dallas, TX where he pursued a career in insurance sales and later met the love of his life. Ron and Pat married on July 16, 1976, and began their life together back in Arkansas. Ron started working for the USDA Farm Service Agency in 1976. In 2009, he retired from FSA as the county executive director of Ouachita, Union, Calhoun, and Bradley counties. He was a former member of the Camden Noon Lions Club.  An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting in Okolona with Butch, fishing, gardening, weekly card games with Mike and Debbie, and piddling. He was a jack of all trades. Most famously known for the adventurous school bus rides at the camp and the annual squirrel mulligan supper. The memories we share are filled with the antics of Ron and his best friend and brother, John David. We never knew what mischievous trickery the next moment would hold. He dearly loved his family, pets, and the Lord. He spent the final day of his life in his favorite place, at home with Pat and their dog, Petey.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Ben and Clara Stringfellow, and sister, Sylvia Reddin. He is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Patricia Stringfellow, of Camden; sons, Scot (Beth) Fain of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, Blake (Mary Beth) Fain of Camden; brother, John David (Jamie) Stringfellow of Norfork; brother-in-law, David Reddin of Hampton; nephew Brandon (Joy) Stringfellow of Monticello; nieces Suzanne (Daryl) Parker of El Dorado, Christin (Brandon) Scallion of Mountain Home; Allison (Ben) Culp of Kingsport, TN; grandchildren Abby (Matt) Patterson of Bryant, Piper (Jacob) Bowman of Tahlequah, OK, Caven Fain of Bremerton, WA, Davin (Anna Blair) Skidmore of Camden; two great-grandchildren Rowan Patterson and Porter Skidmore; great nephew, Landon Scallion; and great nieces Lizzy Grace Stringfellow, Sophie Stringfellow, and Saylor Scallion.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Arkansas Wildlife Federation. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 26, at 1PM at Hampton Methodist Church; service at 2PM. Graveside services will be immediately afterwards at Camp Ground Cemetery in Hampton with Rev Mike Nutt officiating.
