Ronald Earl Shelby of Camden, Arkansas, age 78, finished the last quarter of his life on September 1, 2026. He was born in Stuttgart, AR on September 26th, 1947. He was a man of many talents. At one time, all at the same time, he was a statistical engineer at Lockheed Martin, owned and worked tirelessly at Shelby roofing, was an adjunct professor at SAU-Tech AND a full time Hall of Fame Referee! Ron received his Bachelor's degree from Arkansas State University and his Master's degree from Henderson State University. Ron was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in East Camden. Ron graduated from Bearden High School in 1965 as the Valedictorian and a three-sport letterman for all three years of high school.

He was preceded in death by his parents John Warren and Gaile LaRue Hood Shelby. His grandparents Bert and Calla Shelby and John H. and Elmira Hood.

He is survived by three daughters: Cormie Jackson of Jacksonville, FL, Pamela Barrett (Mike) of Mt. Juliet, TN, and Stephanie Young of Thornton, AR. Four sisters: Judy Weatherly (Jeff), Barbara Beene (Willis), Becky Jennings (Gary), and Cathy Talley (Randy). Ron had 8 grandchildren: Cruz, Canaan, Cristabella, John Michael, Shelby, Arianna, Reuben, Dylan and 2 great grandchildren: Nova and Max. Ron had a bonus family: Carol, Scott, Lisa, John, Charlie and Becca and a huddle of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 4th at Calvary Baptist Church at 11a.m. and visitation at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Moss Hill cemetery in Bearden, Arkansas.
