Roger Dale Parr, 67 of Camden, AR, went to be with the Lord July 3, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born in Rockford, IL on May 1, 1957, to Mattie Lee Hodges Turner.
He loved the outdoors and spent many hours on the river or lakes fishing or watching the alligators.
He loved his animals, and he cherished his family. His most pride and joy in life was his grandbabies. No matter how his day went, his babies made life worth living. Anyone who knew him, saw he had a big heart and was a good provider for his family. He was employed by, and retired from B&M Painting, and had a close relationship with those he worked with.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Turner; stepfather, Leo Turner; sister, Rhonda Jean Woodral; brother-in-law, Jimmy Woodral; grandparents, David and Ruby Hodges; uncles, Melvin, Andy, Bill, Charley, Hamp, and Doyle Hodges, and Willie Bryant,Sr.; aunt, Mary Bryant; cousins, Sue Bryant McManus, Willie Bryant, Jr., and JD Bryant.
He is survived by his beloved Bonnie Gregory of Camden, AR of almost 30 years. His daughters, Stacy Blair of Malvern, AR, Tonya Land (Bryan) and Heather Gregory of Texarkana, AR, Leta Thibault (Michael) of Sparkman, AR, and Marsha Gregory of Camden, AR; grandchildren, Cameron Braley, Brittney Gregory, Lily and Leora Woodral, Carson Thibault and Tucker Bryant; great- granddaughter Aubree West; brothers Jack Jennings of Camden, AR, Donnie Turner (Melissa) of Beebe, AR, and Robert Turner (Flo) of Jonesboro, AR; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was "Uncle Dale" to so many.
Visitation will be Saturday July 6, 2024, at 1:00 pm and a service to follow at 2:00 pm at Proctor Funeral Home. The burial will take place at Liberty Cemetery in Louann, AR.
The family would like to give a special thanks to OCMC Hospice staff, especially Elana Myers and Dr. Braden, and Proctor Funeral Home.
