Obituary

Roger Eugene Brewer, born on August 14th, 1949, passed away peacefully at his son's home on March 27th, 2026, from both COPD and prostate cancer.  He is survived by his children and grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by his wife of more than 40 years, Irene Brewer on February 19th, 2025.

As the son of Bernard Eugene Brewer and Phyllis Joan Brewer (Aldrich), Roger spent most of his childhood in Indiana and Illinois.  After high school, he served in the US Navy as a Seabee from 1966 to 1975 with two tours in Vietnam.  After his time in the service, he held many jobs in many trades, most recently as the water operator of the Hwy 4 & 24 water system for 10 years before his retirement three years ago.  Always passionate about his time as a Seabee, Roger always supported the importance of both military and civil service.  Roger was always hard working even into his final years during which he regularly took on his own carpentry projects and mechanical maintenance at home.  He passed this hardworking trait on to his children since he always stressed the importance of hard work.  When not working Roger enjoyed the outdoors, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.  In retirement, Roger took great joy in working on carpentry projects at home, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with his wife, sons, and grandchildren from Arkansas.

A wake/funeral service for his friends and family in Arkansas will be held at Proctor Funeral Home in Camden, AR on Saturday, April 11, 2026, from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M.  His sons will be scattering his ashes after the service.
