Obituary

Robert Charles “Bo” Harrell, 76, ascended to his eternal home on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. He was born on September 3, 1950, in Natchez, Mississippi.

In his early years, the family moved to Pine Bluff, Arkansas where he would later graduate from Pine Bluff High School. From there he served in the United States Army, where he received the American Spirit Honor Award for his exemplary display of high initiative, honor, and loyalty to his comrades-in-arms. He went on to be a conductor for the Union Pacific Railroad, and eventually established a prosperous career for himself and his family selling Kenworth and Freightliner trucks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph “Pete” and Helen Harrell, his sister Carolyn Sue Johnston, and his former wife Renee Robinson with whom he remained close despite their different paths. “Bobo” will be lovingly and joyfully remembered by his beloved daughter, Megan Harrell, and son-in-law, Zach Alexander, and his three cherished granddaughters, Joplin “Bo” Harrell, Vaeda Grace Alexander, and Magdelyn Marie Alexander. He is also survived by his brothers with whom his bond was unbreakable, Bill Harrell and his wife, Joey, and Ken Harrell and his wife, Debra. Through the years the family has grown to include many nieces, nephews, as well as great nieces and nephews. Bobo took great pride in loving each and every one of them. Also remembering him are lifelong friends and brothers in Christ, Eddie Bradford, Pat Burns, and Al Johnston.

Bo will be treasured by his family and friends. His memory will remain close to the hearts of all those whose lives he touched. Though Bo is gone from our sight, we faithfully carry his selflessness, unending love, devotion, and generosity forward for generations to come.

Family and friends are invited to gather and share memories on October 30, 2026 at 2:00pm at New Life Church, 8000 Crystal Hill Rd, North Little Rock, AR 72118.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests houseplants that will be actively cared for and preserved, just as his legacy.
