Ricky Dale Daniel, 73, entered his heavenly home on May 25, 2025. Ricky was born on December 31, 1951, to Henry Luther Daniel and Jessie Helen Erwin Daniel.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Mary Ellen Daniel Vicknair; brothers, Thomas Henry Daniel and William Ray Daniel; father and mother-in-law, James Stephens Elliott Sr. and Betty Mae McManus Elliott Leamons; and brother-in-law, James Stephens Elliott, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathy Marie Elliott Daniel; daughter, Kristina Josselyn Daniel Covington (Brian Holly); grandson, Charle Franklin Covington; granddaughters, Devin Rae Villaba Covington and Katie Doherty; great-granddaughters, Addison Leigh Brecheisen and Nova Jae Covington; sister, Betty Sue Thomas (Gene); sisters-in-law, Brenda Daniel Grimes and Kimberley Elliott; a host of nieces and nephews; and a multitude of loved cousins and friends.

Rick had his first job at age five – a paper route, beginning with just five customers. He was never without a job from the age of 5 until the age of 62 when he suffered a brain stem stroke, still he had the same amazing attitude that he had throughout his life. Rick's work career included his paper route, Palmers Grocery, Butchers Meat Market and as a meat-cutter at Piggly Wiggly. While working at Piggly Wiggly, his brother, Bill, had some dozer work done. Rick prayed to his Heavenly Father to be able to "drive" a dozer just one time. His Most Gracious Heavenly Father allowed him to "operate" a dozer and other heavy equipment for over 40 years! First at Jeffus Dozer Service and then working for himself at R.D. (Rick) Daniel Dozer Works, Anders Trucking, followed by R.D. (Rick) Daniel and Grandson (Charle) Dozer Works. Rick loved every minute of work on equipment. He could not wait to get to work each day, whether building ponds (his favorite), clearing land, building roads, house pads, commercial building pads, etc.

Rick was saved at a tent revival at the age of 6. As a Christian, he was a member and a past elder of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He always loved the Lord, but his faith and relationship with the Lord increased exponentially with his affiliation with Promise Keepers which included weekly meetings with fellow Christian men, especially J.C. Reynolds, B.A. DeWoody, and Tommy Morgan.

Rick loved and enjoyed time spent with his family. He was so proud of each one of them, he was honored to lift each one up to the Lord daily and looks forward to spending eternity with each of them.

The family would like to extend special thanks and deep appreciation to Elana, Kelly, Becky, and Russ from Arbor Hospice for their exceptional care and support for Rick and the family.

Visitation will be May 29 at 4 PM followed by a Celebration of Rick's Homecoming at 5 PM at The Camden Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Brother Nick Chambers officiating.

Honorary Pallbearers are Ronnie Davis, J.C. Marks, David O'Hara, Wayland Chambers, Richard Vick, Jake Morgan and Roger Bryant.
