Richard (Ricky) Santifer, 65, died Saturday, November 30, 2024, at his home in Camden, Arkansas.  He was preceded in death by his parents Jerry S. Santifer and Martha "Jane" Santifer.  He is survived by his only son, Matthew Santifer; two brothers Mike Santifer (Terri) of Branson, MO; David Santifer (Toni) of Hope, Arkansas; his special nieces and nephews: Michael Santifer, Blake Santifer (Lauren), Whitney Francis (Damon), Sydney Schmidt (Beaux), Jared Santifer, great nieces and nephew: Laila and Bentlee Santifer, Blakely and Denver Francis, Jaxson Santifer; aunts, uncles and numerous cousins.

Ricky worked at International Paper until they closed and then began a new career in the welding industry. After attending Hobart Welding Institute in Ohio, he extended that education to include Certified Welding Inspector.  Upon graduation, he worked as a certified inspector and project manager at various locations across the country until his retirement.  Ricky was a hard worker on the job and off.  When he wasn't on the job, he was busy cutting wood, constructing welding projects and helping others.

Ricky loved boating, hunting, fishing, camping and anything that included his son, Matthew.  He also enjoyed doing the "next big thing" such as going to the lake, taking cruises, visiting Branson, and other activities with his family.  After retirement, Ricky enjoyed growing and sharing his garden with family and friends.  Christmas was Ricky's favorite time of year because he loved to give generously to the ones he loved. Because of the memories of getting birthday cards, he never forgot a birthday and loved giving a card with a gift inside.  Ricky had a servant's heart, a contagious laugh, and was always a phone call away to lend a helping hand. Ricky was a loving father, a beloved brother, a cherished uncle, and a devout friend; he will be missed.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00PM Thursday, December 5, 2024, at Proctor Funeral Home. The memorial service will be 10:00AM Friday, December 6, 2024, at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
