Richard A. Ponder, 65, died January 12, 2024.  He was born April 10, 1958, in Chidester, AR to Carl and Maudie Ponder.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Vestor Ponder.

Richard is survived by a son, Heath Ponder (Haley); a daughter, Jennilee Brasher (Shane Smith); his grandchildren, Avery Brasher and Logan Brasher; two sisters, Sandy Barnhart and Sue Humphries (George) as well as several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Richard worked for Coca Cola for approximately 28 years, and retired from Anti Pest in Bossier City, LA.  He found happiness in making bird houses (some could better be described as mansions and apartments), and other woodworking projects.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30AM Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Maul Road Church of Christ.
