Richard Emmette "Ricky" Parham, Jr., 76, of Camden, AR, passed away November 7, 2023, at Ouachita County Medical Center. He was born June 19, 1947, to Richard Emmette Parham, Sr., and Mary Sue Parham. He graduated from Camden High School, served in the United States Marine Corps, was a member of the First United Methodist, and served as a commissioner for the Civil Service Committee. In his younger years, Ricky served as a deputy sheriff for Ouachita County and owned White City Building and Concrete Ready-Mix Company in Camden. Since his retirement, he has enjoyed spending time at "his place," which we all called "The River House" on the Ouachita River, where he enjoyed hunting, sharing stories, and making memories with his old and dear friends.
Ricky is preceded in death by his parents, a stepdaughter, Shannon Hollensworth, and a brother-in-law, Allen Roberts. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; son, Jack, both of Camden; stepson, Josh Herring of Conway; grandchildren, Isabella Herring of Bryant, Sam Herring of Bryant, and Lilli Hollensworth of El Dorado; brother, Gordon Parham (Jeannie) of Fayetteville, and sister, Pam Roberts of Camden.
A graveside service and burial will be held at Memorial Park Cemetery, Camden, Arkansas, on Thursday, November 9, 2023, at 10:00 A.M. Proctor Funeral Home is responsible for the arrangements.
