Ray Magby, 76, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday, January 1, 2025. He was born July 11, 1948, in Arkadelphia, AR to Roy and Maxine Magby. Ray was a gunsmith, an avid hunter and greatly enjoyed spending time outdoors.  He was a Boone and Crockett Record Holder.  He was employed at International Paper Company from January 1970 to January 2001.  He then went to work for Ouachita Forestry Resources and retired in August of 2016.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by a brother, James Magby. He is survived by his wife, Ginger Magby of Camden, AR, they were married on March 14, 1975; two sons, Heath Magby (Kristel) of Redding, CA and Wade Magby (Megan) of Camden, AR; three grandchildren, Rylan Magby of Redding, CA, Kasen Magby, also of Redding, CA and Anniston Magby of Camden, AR; a sister, Marylen Smith (David) of Conway, AR and several nieces, nephews, numerous special cousins, and a host of lifelong friends.

A memorial service will be 11:00 Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Proctor Funeral Home with James Guthrie officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
