Randall Douglas
Parnell
Feb 20, 1959 — Feb 19, 2026
Conway
Randall Douglas Parnell was born on February 20, 1959, to Rufus and Carolyn Parnell in Camden, AR. He died on February 19, 2026, in Conway, AR, one day shy of his 67th birthday.
Randall was a construction surveyor and worked in many states including Arkansas, Nebraska, Florida, Iowa, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Texas, Louisiana, Colorado, Oklahoma, and Pennsylvania. Whatever state he was living in he made friends, found the best restaurants, explored all the tourist attractions, and attended AA meetings.
Randall was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Rufus and Carolyn Parnell; brother, James (Jim) Parnell; his maternal grandparents, Elmer and Alethea Lunday; and paternal grandparents, Ralph Parnell and Ruby Childers.
Left to cherish his memory are his sister, Terese Duckert; nephews, Justin Duckert and his wife, Andrea, Douglas Duckert, Ryan Parnell and his wife, Nicole, and Reid Parnell and his wife, Courtney; great-nephews, Colton, Kenton, Paxton, Oliver, Samuel, Rudy, Jhett, Sean and Hunter; great-nieces, Ariane, Olivia, Ingrid, Soleil, Ainslee, and Eleanor; Auntie, Doris Rosenkampff; and uncle, Granville Parnell; many cousins; and numerous friends all over the United States.
The family wishes to thank the numerous medical professionals who treated him during his six-year battle with acute Myeloid Leukemia and the rare side effects of graft versus host disease. Special thanks to UAMS oncologists, Dr. Mukherjee and Dr. Varma and most of all to the APRN, Rhonda Evans who also became a friend. Dr. Musayeva, ophthalmologist who valiantly tried to save his eyesight. The nurses and techs at UAMS hospital were outstanding.
The doctors and nurses provided excellent care at Conway Regional Health Systems in Conway, AR. Elite Home Health and Life Touch Hospice were kind and loving in his final days and provided wonderful care and guidance. My personal thanks as sister and caregiver to the dedicated medical personnel who provided outstanding care, patience, and time to Randall. On his last day, Hayley was my comfort. Others in my family and friends know who you are and know how much your help and love sustained Randall and me.
A celebration of his adventurous life will be held on Thursday, February 26th at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00PM. He requested an informal memorial with anyone who wanted to tell G-rated stories would be encouraged to share.
