Phyllis E. McClurkin of Stephens, AR died January 15, 2016 at her residence. She was born in Mabelvale, AR to George W. and Mary L. Green Marsh. Mrs. McClurkin was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, George W. Marsh, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Calvin D. McClurkin of Stephens, AR; two sons, W. Hoyt Akins (Lorie) of Scott, AR and Calvin Dudley McClurkin (Amanda) of Sherwood, AR; a daughter, Tracey L. Betts (Eddy) of Camden, AR; a brother, Michael W. Marsh (Diana) of Benton, AR; a stepson, Kenneth McClurkin (Carla) of Oklahoma City, OK; three stepdaughters, Cherri Pledger of Stephens, AR, Kathi Calton (Gary) of Oklahoma City, OK and Jann Long (late husband, Dana) of Oklahoma City, OK; three grandsons, Chad Betts, Walker Akins and Grayson Carver; and many step-grandsons and step-granddaughters.

Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2016. Services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the United Methodist Church in Stephens followed by interment at Stephens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Stephens Cemetery Association, attn: Maye Delaney, Stephens Security Bank, 105 W. Ruby, Stephens, AR, 71764. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Phyllis' caregivers, Earlene Gardner and Tia Clark.
