Philip David Wells, 83, passed away on May 6, 2025. He was born in Camden on January 30, 1942, to Walter and Mavis Wells. A lifelong Baptist, he enjoyed treasure hunting and playing chess. His greatest joy was making people laugh.

Philip was preceded in death by his wife, Florine, his parents, his stepson David Whitter, and granddaughter Davin Whitter. He is survived by his sister, Brenda Lowe (Gene), nephews Jake Lowe and Tom Strait (Pam), cherished family friend Addrienne Smith, stepdaughter Sherri Cash (Brad) and grandchildren Matthew Childers, Whitney Childers, Charity Henderson, and Candy Jo Williams.

The family thanks all those at Ouachita Nursing and Rehab Center for the excellent care you gave Philip. Your tender loving care made a huge difference in his quality of life there.
