Paula Johnette O'Dell Bearden, of Harmony Grove, was born on February 4,1954, and she left this world to be with her Lord and Savior on April 3, 2025 at the age of 71.  She accepted the Lord Jesus at an early age and was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church in East Camden. She loved the Lord, and she sought to serve Him through VBS, Operation Christmas Child, Women of Calvary, a mission trip, and other areas with Calvary. Johnette also enjoyed taking part in the planning of parties and other events at church. She loved her family and friends dearly and frequently looked for opportunities to bring them together, including her annual favorite, the Bearden Family Christmas Eve. She loved to hunt, and going to the beach with her girlfriends was one of the joys of her life. Johnette doted on her pets, making her dogs sing whenever she thought about it. Growing plants and flowers inside and outside the house was one of her favorite hobbies.

Johnette served her community as a nurse for over 40 years. She worked at Ouachita County Hospital from 1974-1989, and at the Arkansas Department of Health from 1989 until her retirement in 2015.

On July 29, 1988, her life changed greatly when she married Frank Bearden and his family. She was a wife, mother, memaw, sister and aunt until death took her from us.

Johnette was preceded in death by her parents Lee Roy and Helen O'Dell, in-laws Glen and Nellie Bearden, brother-in-law Donny Ray and Ray Bearden. She is survived by her husband, Frank Bearden; her 4 children Scott Bearden (Lisa), Todd Bearden (Tina), Amy Fowler (Cory), and Jeff Dilworth (Susan); 10 grandchildren Caitlynn Hawkins (Charles), Brooke Bearden, Brett Bearden (Taylor), Gannon Bearden (Hannah), Grant Bearden, Grace Fowler, Stephen Fowler, Jake Dilworth, Caleb Fowler, and John Dilworth; her sister Connie Cupples and brother Steve O'Dell (Pam); as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and many many friends.

Donations can be made in the name of Johnette Bearden to the Calvary Baptist Church building fund and the Hannah Pregnancy Center.

Pallbearers will be Brett Bearden, Gannon Bearden, Grant Bearden, Stephen Fowler, Caleb Fowler, Jake Dilworth, John Dilworth and Charles Hawkins.

Visitation is 6:00PM - 8:00PM, Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Proctor Funeral Home. Service is 10:00AM, Monday, April 7, 2025, at Calvary Baptist Church.
