Oscar Bufford Doherty, Jr., 84, of Banks, AR, passed away on Sunday, November 24, 2024. He was born August 25, 1940, in Camden, AR. He was the son of the late Oscar Doherty, Sr. and Etta Curtis Doherty. He was a member of the Springhill Freewill Baptist Church, retired from the Arkansas Highway Department, cattle farmer, avid deer hunter, loved visiting with old people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sharon Kay Doherty, infant sister, Mandy Sue Doherty, sister, Luttie Vaughan and Nancy McCool.

He is survived by his son, Kenneth Doherty and wife, Judy of Camden, AR, daughter, Mary Doherty Biggs and husband, Chris of Banks, AR, grandsons, Blake Doherty and wife, Kiley of Camden, AR, Braden Doherty of Dallas, TX, Owen McManus of Fordyce, AR, granddaughter, Aryn McManus of Fordyce, AR, sister-in-law, Pat Harper of Star City, AR, host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00-8:00PM Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Proctor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 10:00AM Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Proctor Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Sled Cemetery, Banks, AR. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
