Our dear mother and grandmother, Olive Faye Pyron Jackson, passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at the age of 91. She was a wonderful Christian example to all who knew her. She is survived by two sons, Jeffery H. (Paula) of Palm Bay, FL, and Michael P. (Charlene) of Camden, AR and predeceased by one son Phillip L. She is survived by her sister, Nan Baker of Harrison, AR. She was married to Leroy for 63 years before his death in 2012. She is the grandmother of 7 who always called her "Lady." Faye is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.

She and Leroy were raised in West Helena, moving to Camden in 1951. In the early years, Faye was a stay-at-home mother who loved every minute with her boys. Later she worked for and retired from General Dynamics. She and Leroy enjoyed traveling and had many adventures. Faye was a faithful member of Hillside Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School, Bible School, and sang in the choir. She served on the Building Committee when the new sanctuary was built, and her name is inscribed on the cornerstone. Faye lived with dementia and metastatic breast cancer during her last years. Throughout these years, she retained her wit, her sass, her friendliness, and her grace. She lived her testimony. Though we will miss her, we are secure in the knowledge that her broken mind and body have been transformed and her heavenly family has grown by one.

We would like to extend our thanks and gratitude to her caretakers at Ouachita Nursing and Rehab for their tender love and care. Thank you, Janice Street, for keeping a smile on her face and becoming part of our "family."  We were blessed to engage with Gentiva Hospice, who were responsive and kind during these last challenging months. Natalie Purifoy, you will always live in our hearts.

Faye's Celebration of Life service will take place at Cullendale First Baptist Church on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 2:00PM. Visitation will be at 1:00 immediately before the service. The body was cremated, and a private interment will be held. Lady, we will miss you. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
