Nancy Ann Paxton, 79, went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, January 28, 2026 in Camden.  She was born September 28, 1946 in Camden, AR to the late Dale L. Stauffer and Frances V. Stauffer. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Nancy was a OB-GYN Technician for Union Medical Center for many years. She was active for several years with the Boys Scouts of America where she was a Den Mother and Pack Leader and worked side by side with her husband, Everett. She also was active with the Girl Scouts of America and served as Pack Leader. She loved giving back to the kids and community through these organizations. Nancy was an avid cat lover and rescued as many as she could, from taking in strays, nursing them back to health, feeding or whatever was needed to get them taken care of and find a loving home for them. She had an incredible laugh that all who knew her remember her for. Nancy was of the Methodist Faith and dearly loved her Lord and Savior. She is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Everett B. Paxton, Sr. and parents, Frances and Samuel Hubbard of El Dorado, AR and Dale L. Stauffer of Harrisburg, PA.

She is survived by her children, son Everett Paxton Jr. (Donna) of Smackover, AR; daughters Miki Steele (Eric Bailey) of McNeil, AR and Kristal Paxton (William Harrison) of Camden, AR; grandchildren, Sara Brock (Chris) of Alexander, AR and Kelsey Paxton (Chris Tapiao) of Little Rock, AR, Ryan Williams (Kelcey Wondra) of Monroe, LA, Clayton Steele of El Dorado, AR and Hunter Steele (Maci) of El Dorado, AR and Keith and Molly Paxton of Camden, AR; great grandchildren, Kylie Dodd of Monroe, LA, Lynnlee, Leila and Landree Steele and Brantley, Caroline and Ellyson Steele all of El Dorado, AR.; brothers, Dale (Sheila) Stauffer of Pine Bluff, AR and Gary (Sue) Stauffer of Camden, AR; dear friends, Rev. Terry and Vicki Burke, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Nancy will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Memorial Service will be held at Proctor Funeral Home at 10:00 am on Friday, February 6, 2026 with Rev. Terry Burke officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations be made to UCAPS for The Cat House in El Dorado, AR and Bethel Cemetery Fund c/o Janet Grafton also in El Dorado.
