Monica Lynn Darby Thrasher Schroader, born on a Sunday evening, May 1, 1966, in Houston, TX, to Jerry Lynn and Bonnie Darby. She arrived in Heaven on Sunday evening, May 24, 2026.

"But the child that's born on the Sabbath Day, is a loving and giving, good and gay."

Survivors are her husband, Timothy (Tim) Schroeder of Pittsburg, TX; her mother, Bonnie Darby-Gebhardt and Step-father, Marion Gebhardt of Richardson, TX; the Doyle Family of Atlanta, GA Mother-in-law, Jean Schroader, sisters-in-law, Kathy Schroader and Pan Stewart, all of Battle Ground, WA; uncle, Mike Walker (Caroline) of Fayetteville, AR; nephew, James Walker (Kesha),Skylan and Braylen, of Springdale, AR; niece, Erin Moore (Lance), Eli, Ella, and Emmet, of Gentry, AR; and a host of cousins and friends.

Most of Monica's adolescent years were spent attending international schools in Singapore and Aberdeen, Scottland. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, TX, and her career of more than thirty years working in pediatric dentistry.

She married Tim Schroader in Fairbanks, AK in 2006, and they moved to Plano, TX in 2018, and in 2021 they moved to Pittsburg, TX, to Rocket Ranch, a new adventure for both. Fruit and nut trees have been planted across the ranch. The ranch fulfilled her love for animals of which they have three dogs, one always a Schnauzer since college. The farm has chickens, guineas, kittens, cows, sheep, bird choirs, and donkeys. One feels a piece of The Garden of Eden when there.

Monica was an avid gardener spending hours in the greenhouse planning her garden and starting seeds. She became a Master Gardener at the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Center, and was one of two photographers submitting photos of the plants around the Extension Center for publication on their website every month.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00AM on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at Timothy Methodist Church in Camden, AR. Interment will take place at Memorial Park Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 5:00PM-7:00PM on Friday, May 29, 2026, at Proctor Funeral Home.
