Michael D. Manning, 62, died May 4, 2023. He was born March 4, 1961, in Lakin, KS. Michael was a truck driver for FedEx Freight for many years. He loved his customers and made many friends through his work. In addition to enjoying his work, he was a Jeep and Corvette enthusiast and especially enjoyed spending time at the beach.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Mary Hilger Manning; father and mother-in-law, Myrle and Bonnie Teater; a grandson, Tydus Manning; a brother, James Manning; two brothers in law, Rannie Teater and Tony Teater and a sister-in-law, Bea Manning.

Michael is survived by his wife, Kristi Manning; a son, Tyler Manning and his wife Mary ("Liz"); a daughter, Jessica Bell and her husband, Caleb; eight grandchildren, Leah Manning, Jax Manning, Justin Bell, Aston Manning, Matthew Bell, Skyler Manning, Caidyn Lewis and Adaya Lewis; three brothers, Robert Manning and his wife, Ericka, Gerald Manning and his wife, Jessie, and Gary Manning; a sister, Mary Jackson and her husband, Russell; his life long friends, Doug and Theresa Hughes and Shirley Haney and his friends from the beach, Harold and Vanessa Caudle.

Visitation will be at Proctor Funeral Home 6:00-8:00 Saturday, May 6, 2023. Graveside services will be 2:00 Sunday at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
