Melinda Jo (Jo Baby) Palmer, age 65, passed away peacefully on May 22, 2025.

Born on November 10, 1959, in Little Rock, Arkansas, Melinda was known affectionately to friends and family as "Jo Baby." She was a warm, spirited presence whose kindness and laughter brightened every room. Her life was marked by deep love for her family, fierce loyalty to her friends, and a heart that welcomed all.

Jo Baby's passion was food, which inspired her to open several successful businesses, including Tiger Harry's and, most notably, Fajita Hill. Beyond her entrepreneurial spirit, Jo Baby had one of the most giving hearts—providing food, guidance, and friendship to many people in the community. Her generosity and compassion left an indelible mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her. She was a graduate of Southern Arkansas University and a life long member of Fairview United Methodist Church and activity involved with the United Methodist Women's group.

Jo Baby is survived by her sisters Rena Toland and Jean Garland (Joel); her nieces and nephews Jonathon Toland, Tyler Toland, Maecy Toland, Emily Turner (Brad), Payton Parton (Kaleb), Juniper Parton, Luka Parton, Peyton Roy, Christian Robinson, Noah Turner, Austin Toland (Danielle), Savannah Toland, Becca Toland, Paisley Toland, Zoey Thompson, Katie Cook (Marlon), Anna Garland (Stephen), Waylon Baker, Paul Covington, Charlie Covington, Emma Arrington (Colt); Shannon Whitt (Billy), Miller Whitt, Anna Blair Skidmore (Davin), and as well as many cousins and friends who were dear to her heart.

She was predeceased by her parents, Billy and Zaddie Palmer, and her partner, Kathy Harrell.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Fairview United Methodist Church, Camden, Arkansas, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11 a.m. to honor Jo Baby's memory. All who knew and loved her are welcome to attend and share in remembering the joy she brought to so many.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Fairview United Methodist Church, the Christian Health Center, or the charity of their choice, in Jo Baby's memory.

Jo Baby will be remembered always for her vibrant spirit, generous heart, and the love she so freely gave. As she would often say: "Ya'll be strong now, you got this."
