McKayla Garland, 13, of Camden, AR, passed away on August 6, 2026, in Little Rock, AR. She was born on May 23, 2013, in Camden, AR. She was the daughter Thomas Mitchell Garland and Timmie Ferguson. McKayla attended Camden Fairview Middle School, loved her teachers and Dr. Mosley, Dr. Best and all her nurses. 

She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas Mitchell Garland; grandfather, Thomas P. Garland; great-grandfather, Charles Wolfe; grandparents, Raymond and Ruth Charlene Ferguson. 

She is survived by her mother, Timmie Ferguson (Joe) of Camden, AR; two brothers, Walker Garland and Jesse Ferguson both of Camden, AR; grandmother, Cathy Garland of Camden, AR; great-grandmother, Wanda Wolfe of Camden, AR; uncle, Terry Ferguson (Jackie) of Portsmouth, RH; aunt, Angela Doughty (David) of Altus, OK; host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to Proctor Funeral Home to help with funeral arrangements. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, August 14, 2026, at Proctor Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2:00 PM Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Fairview United Methodist Church, Camden, AR.  Burial will be in Red Hill Cemetery on Saturday, August 15, 2026.
