Maxine Hearnsberger Clippert, of Camden, died peacefully on July 13, 2022 at the age of 100. She was born on June 8, 1922, to Henry Graves Hearnsberger Sr and Ruth Thomason Hearnsberger in Fordyce, where she spent a happy childhood. She liked to tell the story of a family vacation driving out west see numerous national parks with her parents and brother during the Great Depression.   She graduated from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where she was a member of Chi Omega sorority and earned her bachelor's degree. There, she met her future husband George Harrison Clippert of Detroit who was training with the US Army Air Corps during WWII.

They married on April 24,1944, and resided briefly in Detroit before returning to Arkansas where Mrs. Clippert was a homemaker, busy mother of two children (Nancy and David), always the gracious "hostess with the mostest", per George, and a loving support for her husband who was President of Southern Pulpwood Company for 59 years.

Mrs. Clippert was a Christian and an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church. She and Mr. Clippert enjoyed traveling together, learning about many parts of the world, and sharing their experiences with their many friends in slide shows. She did beautiful needlework and loved gardening, raising orchids among other blooming plants. She and her family gave back to the local and state community by generous donations, including support for the Forestry and Nursing Programs at the University of Arkansas at Monticello.

Mrs. Clippert was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Dr. Henry Graves Hearnsberger Jr of Little Rock, her son-in-law Richard Whitehurst Broach of Hope, her daughter-in-law Susan Page Clippert of Camden, and her beloved husband of over 61 years, George Harrison Clippert. She is survived by a daughter Nancy Clippert Broach of Hope, a grandson Richard David Broach (Meagan) also of Hope, two great grandchildren (Avyn Lynn Broach and Richard Banner Broach), a son David Harrison Clippert of Camden, and many nieces and nephews.

She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

A graveside service will be held at 9:30 am on Friday, July 15, at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Camden, Arkansas.
