Mary Margaret Griffis, age 74, of Camden, Arkansas gained her wings on January 7, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock.  She was born on Christmas Day, December 25, 1948, in Camden, Arkansas to Burl and Adell Briner.  She was preceded in death by an infant son, her parents, Burl and Adell Briner, her mother and father-in-law, Lucille and Roy Griffis, brother in laws Randy Smith and Gene Griffis, sister in law Sue Briner, niece Jenny Johnson, and special friends Alice and John Rogers.

Margaret is survived by her husband James (Phil) Griffis of Camden, daughter Marsha Howland of Camden, son William Griffis and wife April of Hampton, and honorary son John Thomas of Camden, Grandchildren Zander, Rylee, Landon, Zaeden, Kacie, and Kaleb.  Brother, Donald Briner of Camden, sister Diane Smith of Camden, and sister and brother-in-law Rita and Don Byers of Washington, Arkansas.

Margaret graduated from Fairview High School in 1966.  She married Phil, the love of her life, on December 19, 1969.  Margaret was employed by International Paper Company.  Her true love was sewing, crocheting, scrapbooking, and other handcrafts.  She enjoyed attending craft shows and showing her quillows.

Margaret loved all of her children and grandchildren.  She tried to take care of them.  Her love and care didn't stop with her family.  She took care helped anyone who crossed her path.  She attended Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God Church.

Margaret had lots of special nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She left a giant void in the hearts of her family.

A funeral service will be held at Proctor Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at 2:00PM with interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. A visitation will be held Monday from 6:00PM-8:00PM. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Ridge Assembly of God Church 2880 Fairview Road, Camden, Arkansas 71701.
