Mary Elaine Goss Garner, 76, passed away on August 30, 2026. She was born on February 22, 1950, in Camden, AR to Leonard Ray and Betty Jane Pool Scott. Elaine accepted Christ as a young girl with her family all on the same day. She went to the school in Smackover, AR and was in the class of 1969. Elaine liked to draw, do puzzle books, and was the best mom anyone could have. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren, who she loved with all her heart.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Betty Hoover. She is survived by her three children, Jeanette Goss Hickman and husband, Ron of Camden, AR, Donna Goss Wilson and Weylon Cates of Camden, AR, and Gary Goss and his wife, Crissy of Camden, AR; her sister, Linda Kersh of El Dorado, AR; five grandchildren, Traci Huneycutt and her husband, Britt, Jeffrey Goss and his wife, Christina, Houston Tidwell and his wife, Whitney, Sadie Goss, and Andrew Goss; five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends.

The family would like to thank the staff of Silver Oaks Nursing Home for the wonderful care she has been given over the years. Also, the family would like to thank Arbor Hospice and Dr. Braden for the loving care that was shown to Elaine.

There will be a funeral service at 10:00AM on September 2, 2026, at Proctor funeral Home. There will be a visitation from 9:00AM-10:00AM before the services. Interment will take place at Crossroads Cemetery in Smackover, AR.
