Obituary

Mary "Maw" Annette Dorman, 82, of Camden, AR passed away Friday, March 10, 2023. She was born on March 7, 1941 in Ouachita County to Nolan and Mary Elizabeth Russell Wilson. Annette grew up in Harmony Grove, and was a lifelong resident of Camden, AR. She was a master gardener and loved her flowers. She had the heart of a volunteer. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Camden, AR. She was very active in OCMC Auxiliary, The Pilot Club, The Garden Club, and The Business Professional women. Annette was very friendly and kind to everyone she met. Her hobbies were cooking and knitting. She loved her friends and her family. Her greatest joy was her grandbabies and the time she spent with them.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Jim Wilson; and her niece, Melanie Wilson. She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Shaddock and her husband, Matt of Camden, AR; three granddaughters, Katelyn Elliott, Audrey Shaddock, and Anna Shaddock all of Camden, AR; a sister Linda Cameron; three nieces, Tarah Wylie and husband, Michael of Camden, AR, Andrea of Camden, AR, and Sarah Beth Ezell and husband, Jeremy of El Dorado, AR; two nephews, Jay Wilson and wife, Kelly of Eldorado, AR and John Cameron of Eldorado, AR; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and a host of family and friends.

Pallbearers for her service are Jay Wilson, John Cameron, Michael Wylie, Jacob Wylie, Danny Shaddock, David Elliott, James Chambliss, and Josh Klober. Honorary pallbearers are Braxton Nugent and Branton Nugent.

The family would like to express their thanks and gratitude to the doctors, hospitals, and hospital staff who helped along side their journey.

Funeral services with be held 2:00PM on Tuesday, March 14, 2023 at First United Methodist Church. A visitation will be held one hour before the service. In lieu of flowers please make memorials to OCMC Hospice, the Christian Health Center, or to the First United Methodist Church. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
