Lynn Everett Warner, 88, passed away on October 3, 2025, at St. Vincent Hospital in Little Rock. He was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on September 2, 1937, to William Jodie Warner and Blanche Sullivan Warner.

Lynn was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, three sisters, one son: Michael Lynn Warner, two grandchildren: Jody Ross Higgs and Ariana Celeste Campbell, and him and his wife's best friends, Cecil and Maxine Earp.

He attended Pine Bluff High School and graduated in 1955. The morning after graduation, at 17 years old, he was on a bus from Pine Bluff to Little Rock heading to the recruitment office. Lynn enlisted in the United States Marine Corps on May 31, 1955, fulfilling his dream of becoming a grunt in the Marines. Lynn had many assignments and achievements while enlisted. He was an elite sniper and served in the United States Marine Corps and Marine Corps Reserves for 14 years and 9 months.

Lynn fell in love with the Catholic faith as a Marine and was baptized on February 22, 1958, in San Diego, California. He was a devout Catholic until his passing and said on more than one occasion that his faith was the anchor in his life.

Lynn is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, whom he fondly called His Princess, Sylvia Jone Warner of Locust Bayou. Their children are Boyce Dean Sawyers of Locust Bayou, Eunissa Denice Shikle (Terry) of Locust Bayou, Christopher Thomas Warner (Melissa) of Lake Elsinore, California, and Jone' Lynn Warner of Locust Bayou.

He leaves behind fourteen grandchildren: Christina (Chip), Daniel, Victoria, Anna Grace, Stephanie  (Robby), Inara, Tanya (Justin), Trey, Matthew, Kirsten (Herb), Corey (Kachiri), Timothy (Frederick),  Nicholas (Amiyah), and Matthew (Sharda); sixteen great-grandchildren: Kyle, Cheyenne, Michael,  Julian, Alexis, Sierra (Gabriel), Samara, Savannah, Keagen, Elijah, Theodora, Beau, Jeremiah,  Nicholas II, and Wisdom, and three great-great-grandchildren: Daniel, Selah, and Jules.

Visitation will be at Proctor Funeral Home on Friday, October 10 from 5-7 pm with the Rosary following from 7-8 pm. Services will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church on Saturday, October 11 at 1 pm. Lynn will be buried with military honors at Lakeside Cemetery directly following the service.  The ladies of St. Louis Catholic church will have a meal prepared as a celebration of life for everyone directly after burial at the hall next door to the church.
