Horsie was born December 9, 1931 in Camden, Arkansas, to the parents of Dewell Tracy Hamilton and Jeanette Blakely Hamilton, who preceded her in death. She was married to Sim "Bud" Young, Jr on June 4, 1950. They moved to Shreveport, Louisiana in 1950, where they were very active in the community with their two sons. While living in Shreveport, she was a member of Morningside Baptist Church. She worked as an Administrator for the CE Boyd Clinic until it's closure and continued her career in Healthcare Administration at the Women's Clinic of Shumpert. She was an active member of the Cotton Country Cloggers and Square D Club. Following retirement, she moved to Daisy, Arkansas to live the lake life. During her time in Daisy, she was a member of Glenwood Baptist Church and was an elected official for the city of Daisy. She enjoyed gardening, travel and spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Sim "Bud" Young Jr.; and two brothers, Harry Eugene Hamilton and Billy DeWayne Hamilton.

She is survived by her children, Donald Tracy Young and wife, Diane Adcock Young and David Boyd Young and wife, Carrie Beth Young; her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Craig Michael Young, Bryan Christopher Young and wife, Julie Young, Lyla Jeanette Young, Mackenzie Grace Young, Ava Danielle Kissner and Lexi Payge Rhodes; one sister, Gwendolyn Hamilton Miller; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 12:00PM August 07, 2022 at Proctor Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:00AM to 12:00PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Moss Cemetery at Bearden, AR.
