Lorraine (Lorri) McGuire was born on April 11, 1944, to Richard B Knight and Dorothy Payne Knight. She gained her heavenly wings on April 8, 2024. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Richard C. Knight, her brother W. Rea Knight and wife Jan, and her great grandson, Theodore Herdman.

Those who are left to cherish Lorri's memory are her children, Jennifer Housel and husband Roger, Amber Santantonio and partner Jamal Bryant, and Michael Warner and wife Amber. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren, Summer Locklear and husband Dane, Reilly Smith, Donovan Slanina, Devon Slanina, Dixie Riser, Ashlee Warner, Zoe Warner, Grace Warner, Elizabeth Cantrell, Emma Herdman and husband Edward, Jimmie Housel and wife Jamie, and Ellen Housel. She is also survived by five great grandchildren, Jaxon Warner, Beaux Gator Williams, Wyatt Cantrell, Sophia Herdman, and Penelope Herdman.

Lorri graduated in 1962, from Lakeview High School, in Cortland, Ohio. Her early involvement in 4H and her passion for show cattle led to a number of college scholarships, enabling her to continue her education at The Ohio State University, where she graduated in 1966 with a Bachelor's degree in Home Economics Education. Following college, Lorri taught life skills such as hygiene, cooking, and cleaning to special needs adults. She then had the opportunity to design costumes for a new outdoor drama – Tecumseh. After starting a family, Lorri was blessed to stay home with her children for 12 years. She was very active in La Leche League and Lioness Club. Lorri later went back to work, becoming a Bakery Manager at Sam's Club. She managed numerous bakeries in four different states for over 20 years before retiring.

Lorri had a love of travel and had the opportunity to see many of the places on her bucket list Lorri had a true servant's heart and her kindness and compassion touched countless lives. She was known for opening her home to many of her children's friends, creating a home away from home for them, and always having a seat at the table, during holidays, for anyone who did not have family close. She was always caring for people.

Lorri's family was incredibly special to her, and she made sure they knew they were loved. Having family together brought her immense joy. She loved to cook and host the family despite the day or lack of advanced notice. Lorri's serving and loving heart leaves an incredible legacy for all of us to follow.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00PM on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at First United Methodist Church, 121 Harrison SW, Camden AR 71701. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
