Lazelle Williams,89, passed away on September 7, 2026. She was born on April 17, 1937, in Minden, LA to Major and Marguerite Wafer Williams, Sr. Lazelle was a member of Pilgrims Rest Missionary Baptist Church. She also liked to sew and knit. Her greatest joy and love was spending time with her family.

Lazelle was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Major Williams, Jr.; and a sister, Goldie Wright.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Thomas and her husband, Edwin; her son, Kenneth Williams and his wife, Sandra; her sister, Joyce Sterling; six grandchildren, Latrice Ashley, Bianca Northon, Kendra Williams, Andrew Williams, Alyssa Thomas, and Kyle Thomas; and a host of family and friends.

A funeral service will be on Friday, September 18, 2026, at 11:00AM at Pilgrims Rest Missionary Baptist Church. The committal will take place at church due to the extreme heat.
