Joyce Mitchell, 88 of Locust Bayou died on March 28, 2023. She was born in Atlanta, GA on November 24, 1934. She was the daughter of the late, Clarence and Della Cash.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Gene Mitchell; her two sons, Mike and Marty Mitchell; her parents; two brothers; and four sisters.

She is survived by one son, Phillip G. Mitchell (Francille) of Hampton; 5 grandchildren, David Mitchell (Robin) of Hampton, Deanea Cogburn (Bobby) of Hampton, Barbara Williams of Hampton, Candace Farley of Locust Bayou and Tyler Wright of Camden: 9 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Jeanette Thomas of North Carolina. She loved her family, her chickens and watching her TV.

Her service will be private.
